About
Mentoring to Manhood was founded in April of 2005 as a non-for-profit program targeting young men ages 12-18 focused on developing an understanding of social responsibility and establishing a place as an effective leader in their immediate communities.
M2M has grown a successful program to develop male youths into “men of excellence” by starting with a group academically, professionally and socially accomplished mentors. Our mentors are the heart and soul of our organization. They are attorneys, educators, politicians, writers, bankers and engineers positioned in various walks of life, born to different corners of the world, committed to the success of Prince George County youth.
M2M seeks to nurture and improve our community’s youth through social influences, academic support, spiritual development, comradery and scholarship. M2M consistently runs group activities and workshops designed to build positive life skills and achieve high levels of academic success; facilitating positive thinking and actions; creating compassionate, caring, and community minded young men by actively exposing them to diverse learning opportunities and community service environments.
Mission
The mission of M2M is to develop strong character, communication skills and academic excellence with boys in middle and high schools and to provide them with the resources and tools to maximize their potential.
Over its six-year history, M2M has built momentum around the concept of mentoring and working with students to help them achieve what they otherwise would not have. Our work continues to inspire men and women who want to make a difference.
